Halloween 2015!!

We had one of the BEST halloweens ever this year! It was on a Saturday which meant we went up early and had all day to decorate and get everything perfect, hang out with family all day, and eat lots of good food. The boys were minions this year, and the cutest minions you've ever seen! I loved how they turned out! Though some minions were happier than others.

Waiting outside to start our trick or treating. (Witch, Minnie Mouse, Pre-Mike Meyers, Jake the Neverland Pirate, minions)

The boys did so good trick or treating! Gavin got the hang of it so quick, and loved every minute. Towards the end his bag was getting too heavy for him but he still wouldn't let anyone hold it or help him at all, he just continued on dragging it.

Kaden was such an amazing big brother, he waited for Gavin to climb down from all the stairs and made sure he got a candy at every door. They are just such good friends. These 3 boys are just so fun to have together.

The finished product looked amazing this year, maybe the best yet. We had the graveyard, with lights, the lab table, hanging severed heads, singing pumpkins, dancing skeletons, the garage was closed off for adults only for some scary movies. It was fantastic! Thanks Dad for always putting forth so much energy and time packing, unpacking, decorating, take down. It is so fun and we all appreciate it so much. The kids are so lucky to have him as their grandpa. Man I love my family!
This is how Gavin spent most of his evening, attached to ga-ga and dancing to skeletons. He had so much energy all night long. I love this fun loving little boy. Kaden spent most of his time in front of the singing pumpkins, he danced and flapped all night long. He has been waiting so long for this day, he just loves it so much and enjoys every second. I am one lucky mom.
Adam got to spend halloween with us this year, it was fun to see him for a few hours (he was here looking for a tux for he and Kiley's wedding in just a few weeks!) He got into the spirit of things as well :)

Some of my favorite people (minus Mike Meyers and skeleton) ever! I am so blessed for my family and for all the fun times we have together, so grateful my boys get to grow up with this fun tradition and fun memories that will last forever

Pumpkin Carving Party

This weekend we went to our good friend's house, the Ivey's to carve pumpkins, eat treats, and watch "The Nightmare Before Christmas." It was very fun, Gavin found a new best friend.
The boys enjoyed watching the movie together.
Kaden was a champ at carving his pumpkin this year, he actually touched the goop and took a lot of out himself. Last year the stuff made him gag so he has come a long way. Man he is a cute kid!

Two of my favorite boys, I love how close these two are, they love being together and doing things together, the best of buds. How blessed we are to have such a great daddy in our family. I love love this picture!

My Little Super heroes!

I got to spend my day with these cutest every super heroes! We got these cute sweatshirts from costco for $9.99, money well spent! They had so much fun posing for the pictures. The highlight of their day was running into firemen at the grocery store and them telling the boys how much they loved their sweatshirts! The boys thought it was so cool to see real fireman and have them say that.

Gavin is 2!!!

Well it happened, my baby turned 2! I can't believe it. We had a great day celebrating this sweet boy. He woke up to balloons all over the hallway, which he loved and played in for 20 minutes. We played all morning then met daddy for lunch at McDonald's. Kaden had preschool today so Gavin and I had some one on one time after naps and took advantage by jumping on our NEW TRAMPOLINE!

Gavin had so much fun playing on the tramp all by himself. The boys love this new backyard addition!
That night we had all our family up to celebrate. We ate hamburgers and hotdogs and lots of other yummy food. Then Gavin opened up his gifts, he was super spoiled.

You can tell his cake is very homemade but he loved it, especially the m&m's and puppies :) He thoroughly enjoyed his cake, sweet boy loves chocolate!

Happy Birthday sweet Gavin boy! We love you so much. You are such a blessing to our family and bring so much energy and adventure to us every day. Here are some things about Gavin at 2:
-He is still getting used to his big boy bed, it is a trial to get him to sleep every night but we are crossing fingers he gets the stay in bed concept soon.
-He loves french fries, a boy after my own heart
-His favorite word to say is big, he says it all day about everything.
-He loves tractors and finds them every time we drive
-He is learning to talk so much, he tries to say everything and I'm getting good at understanding what he says most of the time, Kaden helps quite a bit.
-His very best friend in the world is Kaden, he wants to always be right by him and do everything he does.
-Favorite color is blue
-Loves to be outside to jump and swing, he could stay out there all day long
-Has quite the attitude if he doesn't get what he wants, he just lays on the floor with his face hidden and pouts.
So grateful to have this sweet boy in our family, I love him so very much, he is so dang cute. I'm so grateful to be a mom to these 2 amazing boys, they bring joy to my life everyday. Love you G-Unit!

Gavin Big Boy Bed!

We decided to put Gavin's big boy bed together last night. He sleeps horribly in his crib, going to bed at 11, waking up every 2 hours, it's so miserable. So I figured it can't get any worse, lets try a big boy bed. The boys played in their "fort" with all their bed buddies while we built, they did a very good job and were so patient. Kaden was so excited for Gavin because he actually knew what was going on.
Grandpa gave him so lights to put under his bed so he would think it was extra fun and not afraid of the dark.

The finished product was so cute! Gavin jumped right on, literally. He felt so proud of himself and so big. We have a few things left to do to make his room just perfect for him. Hard to believe we have two big boy beds in this house now.

He laid right down at bedtime (could be because it was 10 by the time we got all done) and I laid with him just a minute and left. He just laid there happy as could be, which is a huge deal because he usually cries and cries when you lay him in his crib and does so for a long time. Then he went right to sleep. He woke up once about an hour after going to sleep and was a little confused where he was, but I went and he turned over and fell asleep again. Then he did not wake up once the whole night! That is huge in this house! He slept until 10 then sat up and called for mom. I think the big boy bed was a success! He's just not a crib guy, wants to be big like brother. I sure do love this sweet boy, can't believe he'll be 2 tomorrow.

Pumpkiinfest at the Grange

Today we went to the pumpkinfest that the grange puts on every year. It was very fun. We took mom and dad this year and I think they liked it. We trick or treated at all the booths set up, picked some really cool pumpkins, rode the hayride with the big horses, and ate some hot dogs. It was a fun day, I love living in Castle Rock.
It was just two years ago that Paul and I were here with Kaden (who was wearing the same shirt Gavin has on) and had a great time, then Gavin was born the very next day.
