It's finally here! We have had our Disney Land trip planned for 8 months now so this morning was highly anticipated. I've been excited for a long time now, I think even more so than the kids.
The night before we left Kaden woke up in the night with a sore thoat, cough, and runny nose. Paul gave him a quick blessing and we hoped for the best. We had to wake up super early for the flight, both boys woke up so happy and excited for "Land!" Gavin got his bear and pacifier and headed for the door saying, "Land, Land. Mon!"
At the airport. All the little boys had their mickey shirts and backpacks and were ready to fly! I love these 3 together, they are so cute!
ON the plane waiting for takeoff! Family trips are the best! |
There were pumpkins everywhere! |
We knew that Pirates of the Caribbean was closing the next day so we headed there first so we could ride it before then. Our boys LOVED it, they thought all the skeletons and pirates were so cool. Gavin held my hand around him the whole time for safety but didn't want to get off at the end. We also rode the Haunted Mansion right after which they loved also. It was decorated as the Nightmare Before Christmas and so amazing! I think that was the boy's very favorite ride. It was Christmas and Halloween, what could be better?
Kaden was still feeling a little under the weather so the boys took naps while we rode a couple adult rides. Jean hung out with them for a little while. Once Kaden woke up he was really feeling awful, fever, sore throat. So we left the park for the day and took him back to the hotel to rest and be ready for the next day. Poor little guy ended up feeling awful that night so Jean called a friend who is a pediatrician and he told us what would be best for him. Once we got him on some meds he started to feel better and better everyday. He was such a little trooper the whole time even though he was feeling so crummy at times.
We bathed the boys, made them some maca and then got them ready for an early bed that night so Kaden would start to feel better and be able to enjoy more. Then we ordered some Outback and ate at the hotel that night. Just as I was feeling depressed about having a sick Kaden in Disneyland we saw fireworks from the park out our window. Paul and I watched them together and realized how lucky we were to be there and that everything would be ok. So grateful to be here with my family and for the gift of eternal families!
