Gathering of Eagles: Texas!

Paul's company does a huge gathering of all their clients every year called the gathering of eagles. It is a huge deal in his company. This year we got to go to Dallas, Texas to the 4 seasons. I decided to tag along and since Gavin is still just a little guy he came with us. We started out early so he was a little sleepy, some Dr. Pepper helped him out :)

The hotel was so amazing. We ended up getting a suite, it was so so nice. Gavin's favorite part was the huge jacuzzi tub with a waterfall inside. He looked so very tiny in there but he thoroughly enjoyed just chillin and kicking his legs.
Paul had a lot of meetings during the day so Gavin and I would hang out, go for walks outside, and just relax while he was gone. I actually enjoyed reading some books and just doing nothing! I was glad this sweet little guy came along so I had a little buddy and got to spend some one on one time with him. He's so fun!

The Gathering of Eagles always includes a neat keynote speaker. This year it was George W. Bush!! He speaks and then you get to meet him and get a picture with him. Gavin wasn't invited to the actually speaking part so him and I waited til after then showed up for our picture. Gavin looked so handsome. He wasn't originally supposed to be in the picture but when President Bush saw him he thought he was so cute and said, "Will he cry if I hold him? Give me that little dude." I was a little worried because Gav doesn't always love new people holding him but he just stared right at President Bush. It was so cute, the photographer snapped some very cute pictures of them together. Not many babies can say that President Bush held them and had their picture taken. Then it was Paul and I's turn. He was such a nice guy, very down to earth and kind.

After that we all went to the George W. Bush Presidential Library. It was cool, it showed highlights from his presidency and special things he had collected. There was one part all about September 11th that was heartbreaking but very interesting to see how President Bush handled everything and what went on through his eyes. He was a good president, so grateful we had the opportunity to meet him and learn more about him.

Paul's boss, Steve, holding Gavin. Luckily Gavin did better with Pres. Bush :)

We had such a great time on this trip, I'm grateful for Paul's wonderful company and their kindness in letting me and Gavin tag along. Everyone was so kind and helpful and accommodating. This company is all about family and know of its importance. Gavin was a good little guy the whole trip and really enjoyed some one on one time with mom and dad.
Sidenote: Kaden got to stay with Grandma Jean some of the time and Grandma and Grandpa some of the time and had a great time as well. You know there was some serious spoiling while we were away :)

Easter 2014

Coloring eggs was fun this year, Kaden really enjoyed it and wanted to help and he did a great job!

We got a marble track which was a big hit! We played with that baby half the day. I think it will be something they both really enjoy and play with for a long time.
Then the boys took turns finding their baskets. Gavin's in his crib, Kaden's behind his kitchen. I love Easter, a great reminder of our Redeemer and the joy of the atonement and a time to be with those you love.

Winter Fun!

With it being cold outside we thought today would be a good day to build a fort while we waited for dad to get home from work. The boys both loved playing inside and hanging out all together with all our light up toys. A pretty good fort if I do say so myself :)

Then once daddy got home we bundled all up and went outside to build a snowman! Kaden looked so very cute all bundled up. "I can't put my arms down!"
Then snowman turned out very cute. Kaden even gave him his hat to make him complete.

Gavin and I enjoyed the festivities as well. My little baby bear! I love to snuggle sweet little babes!
