Trying on his costume |
We started the month off by going to the meadows pumpkin patch. It was fun, we did a hay ride, pet the ponies, picked a pumpkin, and saw lots of other fun things. Kaden had a fun time helping dad pick the pumpkin.
Kaden got really excited to carve his pumpkin this year. This is his classic flapping and jumping out of shear excitement and happiness.
At first he wasn't sure about getting all the "goop" out, it gave him the willies when Paul showed it to him. But eventually he warmed up and helped dad get all the "goop" out and thoroughly enjoyed it. They even carved a second pumpkin after this one.
Towards the end he started to get tired and was all about snuggling up to dad and giving kisses while he finished up. He is such a loving little guy, Paul was enjoying all the loves he was getting!
I took pictures and held Gavin this time but here is documentation that I actually was there. Gavin was a good boy and just slept through the whole thing.
The finished Project!! Kaden wanted a happy face so we kept it simple.

Buzz pumpkin, compliments of "ama" and "ampa" |
This year we all went up to Randi's house to decorate and do our big Halloween celebration. The guys did a great job setting up, and it was the talk of the neighborhood. It's always fun to go all out and hang at the Welch house. The 3 little boys dressed up as skeletons this year and it turned out so cute! Every time the door rang Jaxon and Kaden would run to answer it, they'd each get to hand out a piece of candy to each kid and everyone thought they were so so cute. These 3 are going to be great buddies, who knows what trouble they will get into :)

The whole clan. Porter even joined in and wore his skeleton shirt to match the other boys. The girls were adorable black cats. Everyone looked great and had a fun time! |
